My name is Morag Gamble. I have been teaching permaculture for about 25 years in more than 20 countries.

I live a simple life in an Australian ecovillage, in an ecohouse I built with my family, which I’ve surrounded with abundant permaculture gardens (which have been awarded the Glossies Edible Landscape Award, presented by Costa Georgiadis).

I love being in my permaculture garden and preparing simple meals from scratch using freshly harvested produce. I also find it fascinating and fun to make my own natural cleaners and beauty products (often with the help of my children).  Everything in this course stems from my personal experience. I have tried and tested all of these strategies and recipes, and use them personally.

As well as gathering practically permaculture experience in my garden and around the world, I also have a Masters of Environmental Education, a Postgraduate Diploma of Landscape Architecture, a Bachelor of Environmental Planning and have been a guest teacher at Schumacher College, UK, lectured for many years in Food Politics at Griffith University and have been an adjunct researcher at the University of the Sunshine Coast.

I’ve been teaching permaculture and sustainable living since the early 1990s and love working with adults, children and youth. I often teach from my garden and ecovillage, but also in community gardens and centres, universities, colleges, schools and town halls. Now I am excited to be able to offer programs online too.
